“One morning, over at Elizabeth’s beach house, she asked me if I’d rather go water-skiing or lay out. And I realized that not only did I not want to answer THAT question, but I never wanted to answer another water-sports question, or see any of these people again for the rest of my life.”
Yeah, that about sums up where I am with the Birds right now: not only do I not want to talk about losing the Giants ahead of the inevitable humiliation at the hands of the Cowboys this Sunday, but I don’t really want to talk about the Eagles or professional football at all.
I’m not just frustrated as a fan. That I’ve been before. Now I’m bored as well. I’m not even interested in getting cheesed off about it today. Today they can suck and I don’t really care.
Which is okay. The season’s over (if not mathematically, then in every way that matters). Moment of peace and reflection and whatnot.
I just wish I could get a little bit excited about next season. Right now, I can’t. Cause it just looks like a lot more of this semi-warmed-over crap that we’ve seen this year. It feels like the effing Sixers.
I’m sure this too will pass. I’ll check back in when my spirit returns (I’d give it 24 hours tops; it’s a sick obsession we’ve got here; I WISH I could actually lose interest).

Link Here | December 11, 2007,great quote. sums up my feelings well. i might also go with “bob’s out. you’re out. and i don’t even know if i’m in.”
since i have nothing left to say about the birds, i would ask you, have you seen “Idiocracy”? and if so, did you note that beef supreme is played by futureman? i am unaware of one such minor character actor playing two such wonderfully titled roles.
