Antonio Pierce, besides having a great 80s movie villian name, is a fine American and will single-handedly stop the great depression with his club going and ensuing legal fees.

Yeah, Reid said it would be Justice at guard if someone gets hurt, and that he has confidence in him.

Um, I tend to agree with you. Winston Justice stepping on the field is an apocalypse scenario for the Eagles.

Oh, one more thing, and I hate to put a damper on the bashing festivities. I hate to even think this, but it's been nagging me for a few days now.

McGlynn is now on IR, and even with Andrews practicing, he's going to be inactive Sunday, as he well should be. We are playing with our #3 RG (and Nick, let this not be a slight to you, because you get a lot of credit for #36's run last week, not to mention your generally fine play). God forbid something happens to any part of the line.....are we going to see Mr. Justice out there? Really? Oh, and I'm sure he's going to be part of the ST FG blocking unit, with mcglynn out. I mean, I want him to succeed, I truly do. But past performances don't inspire much confidence.

I mean, few places are going to be harder hit by the global economic meltdown than NYC. When the entire (wildly overcompensated) financial services industry disappears in a matter of months, it's got to have some effect. (I just hope real estate becomes affordable for schlubs like me.)

As for the game, OF COURSE YOU SHOULD GO. Sure, the Meadowlands is a dump, but the Birds need you there. Get someone to drive up, take the train to Secaucus, whatever. This is important.

We got into decent seats in the lower bowl for under $300. I won't mention what I paid to sit in the upper deck at the Linc against the Skins.

'I mean, they’ll take surly jerks on TV, but they typically prefer that they’re “talented” and not “liabilities in coverage.”'

Ah, great thing to read first thing I get to work in the morning. Well done, a good Antonio Pierce bashing was necessary, albeit a little late in the week. Keep it coming, you and Derek need to get me through Sunday.

In other news, is the recession hitting the NFL? i mean seriously - I've been trying to get tickets to the game Sunday, and it's like everybody and their mother is selling tickets (even good ones) for prices similar to what I paid to go to the Linc earlier in the season. Sadly, none of my friends are Giants fans, and my Eagle fan friends won't make it out to NY. Then again, I'm 1-1 on the season at Iggles games, so maybe I should sit this one out anyway.
